These anonymised case studies illustrate how RedEverywhere’s Alternative Learning Provision (ALP) supports pupils who are fixed‑term or permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion, or struggling to engage with mainstream school. Each profile shows:

  • Starting point & barriers
  • Personalised support and provision (mapped to Pathway 1 – Foundation Skills or Pathway 2 – Advanced Skills & Qualifications)
  • Safeguarding & wellbeing
  • Measured outcomes & next steps
  • Voice of the child/young person

Our offer blends applied English and Mathematics, enterprise‑led, project‑based learning, AQA Unit Award Scheme (UAS) modules, Functional Skills/GCSE preparation, work experience tasters, and immersive digital learning (including VR-based PSHE/“Think Ahead” sessions). Provision is delivered in small groups with a key adult, trauma‑informed practice, and a team‑around‑the‑child approach in partnership with schools and families.

How We Measure Impact

Engagement

Attendance stability, punctuality, and lesson participation.

Learning

Step‑by‑step mastery in applied English/Maths; AQA UAS completions; GCSE/Functional Skills entries where appropriate.

Personal development

Self‑regulation, peer relationships, confidence, and leadership opportunities.

Destinations

Successful reintegration to mainstream, sustained AP engagement, college/training transitions, and apprenticeships.

Partnership working

We coordinate with families, schools, and external agencies; share progress reviews; and maintain a team‑around‑the‑child culture. Where required, we liaise on EHCP processes and attend multi‑agency forums (e.g., CIN/CP/MARAC), ensuring safeguarding remains central.
