13–16 study programmeCore
You’ll cover Number, Algebra, Ratio and Proportion, Geometry and Measures, Probability, and Statistics at Foundation or Higher level.
You’ll work in small groups, use diagnostics and Century pathways, practise weekly problem-solving, and prepare calmly for exams.
You’ll take 3 exam papers (1 non-calculator and 2 calculator) at either Foundation (grades 1–5) or Higher (grades 4–9).
You’ll be ready for post-16 study, apprenticeships, or employment.
Core
You’ll explore texts from the 19th to 21st century, develop descriptive, narrative and transactional writing, and build your spoken language skills.
You’ll practise close reading, use modelling, grow your oracy and vocabulary, and work through Century literacy activities.
You’ll complete 2 exam papers plus a spoken language endorsement.
You’ll gain skills for success across all subjects and be ready for post-16 progression.
VR-supported
You’ll learn about democracy and government, law and justice, rights and responsibilities, and how to take informed civic action.
You’ll take part in Think Ahead scenario projects, experience immersive VR, and hear from employers and the community.
You’ll complete 2 exam papers covering knowledge, analysis, and action planning.
You’ll be ready to participate confidently and knowledgeably in college, work, and your community.
Level 1
You’ll explore enterprise mindsets, small-business start-ups, market research, planning, finance, and pitching.
You’ll take an idea through to a plan and pitch, receive employer feedback, try simulated trading, and make links to Maths and English.
You’ll complete a portfolio and practical assignments.
You’ll be ready for Level 2/3 vocational routes, apprenticeships, and enterprise projects.
Portfolio Pathway
You’ll explore visual communication, digital media, photography, video, and design thinking.
You’ll work on creative briefs, practise iterative design, take part in optional immersive/VR experiences, and build a portfolio and exhibition.
You’ll complete a portfolio and, where appropriate, a timed practical. Pathways are personalised from Year 7 to Year 11.
